Louis (Pete) Gerac

Louis (Pete) Gerac, 87, of Payson, passed away Saturday May 17th, 2025, in Payson, Arizona. Pete was born on November 5th, 1937 in Lafayette, Louisiana and was the son of the late Louis G. Gerac and Elaine C. Monteleone of Lafayette. 

Pete was married to the late Sandra Colomb of Lafayette for 57 years. He is survived by two sons, Louis Pierre Gerac II and wife, Debbie, and John Timothy Gerac and wife, Cathy; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother Harold Gerac and wife, Mary; brother-in-law, Russel Colomb; sister-in-law, Judy Colomb, wife of Glenn Colomb; and many nieces and nephews. 

Pete served in the USAF for 20 years and retired in 1980. He then worked for Intergraph's Federal Systems Division in Huntsville, Alabama for 20 years, retiring in 1999. 

The federal service will be at 2:00p.m. on Friday June 20th, at St Philip the Apostile Catholic Church proceded by Rosary at 1:30p.m. Burial will be in Lafayette, LA at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
