**Obituary for Loretta Chambers** It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Loretta Chambers, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Loretta has ended her 3 year battle with cancer and was called home on December 15, 2025, in Burnsville, Minnesota. Born on August 29, 1959, in Gary, Indiana, Loretta's vibrant spirit and beautiful voice touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know her. Loretta's life was a tapestry woven with love, showcasing her loyalty and kindness, traits that defined her character. As a gifted singer, she brought joy to many through her performances and cherished each moment spent sharing her talent. Her passion for life extended to creating memories with her loved ones, particularly her grandchildren, who were the brightest stars in her universe. She is survived by her loving daughter, Alecia Nyana Layla (Blakey) Torres, and her grandsons, Dominick Christopher Padilla, Damian Michael Torres and Darien Julian Torres. Loretta leaves behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate through her family, including: Minnie Taylor; sister, General Taylor (Deceased); brother - in law, Bobbie Lee (Deceased); sister, Thaddeus Lee; brother - in law, Leon Chambers Jr.; brother, Paula Newell; sister - in law, Eric Chambers; brother, Terrilynn Chambers; sister - in law, Nueyen (Lee) Ford; niece, Johnathan Ford; nephew - in law, Valencia Taylor; niece, Marlon Taylor; nephew, Shemika Chambers; niece, Leon Chambers III; nephew, Paul Chambers; nephew, Rose Williamson; cousin, LaShanda (Williamson) Neal; cousin, Victoria (Williamson) Robinson; cousin, and so many more whom adored her. Though Loretta has joined both her parents Leon Chambers Sr. & Minnie Lee (Winston) Chambers, as well as her late sister, Bobbie Jean, her spirit remains alive in the hearts of all those she touched. Her family and friends will forever cherish her warm laugh and the joy she brought into their lives. In celebration of her life, Loretta's memory will be honored with the words she held dear: "Where two or three may gather in my name, there am I with them" (Matthew 18:20). May we gather together to remember not just the loss but the invaluable gift of knowing Loretta Chambers. As we bid farewell to an incredible woman, we are reminded of the beauty she found in life, in music, and in the simple joy of family.
