Leon M Henson

Leon M. Henson, 71, of Itasca passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. Leon was born March 11, 1952, in Meridian, Texas to Joe and Clara Mae Bush Henson. He grew up in Itasca, Texas where he graduated from Itasca High School in 1970. He attended Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas and later was employed as an electrician at Owens-Corning Fiberglass in Waxahachie, Texas until his retirement. His preceded in death by his parents, Joe Leon and Carla Mae Bush Henson; brother Glen; sister, Linda; brothers-in-law, Jerry and Jimmy Baker; and in-laws, Earl and Jeanette Baker. Leon is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Baker Henson; two sons, Matthew and Stephen Henson; grandchildren, Korbyn and Kymber; sister, Valorie Phillips and daughter, Linnie Marita and family; brother, Randall Henson and wife, Karla and family; sister-in-law, Lou; Aunt June Baker Henderson, Earl G. Baker and wife Cindy and family; Karen Basye Baker, Melani, Carl and Toby Clendinging, Timothy and Amy Baker, Karen Ballard Baker, Clent, Jerrid, Kyle and family. Leon loved attending music festivals and gatherings with many, many friends over the years and will be missed deeply. He was a friend to everyone, always lending a helping hand to anyone and loved his family deeply and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
