Obituary

Lennard Milo Korgan of Gilcrest, Colorado died at the age of 87 on November 1, 2025.  He was born September 23, 1938 in Platteville, Colorado, to Arthur and Nora Korgan.

Lennard attended schools in Gilcrest, Colorado, and joined the Army in 1962.  He was a medic/ambulance driver in Landstuhl, Germany, and was honorably discharged with a Good Conduct medal.

After returning to Colorado he worked for Greeley Excavation and really enjoyed bowling, where he won many trophies and where he met his wife-to-be, Bonnie Friebus.  They were married on December 10, 1966, and, after a few moves, settled in Gilcrest, Colorado in 1970.  Lennard liked gardening and enjoyed giving vegetables to family, friends and complete strangers.  He was always willing to reach out and help anyone who needed it.  He loved the Lord and was a member of the Windsor Elm Haven SDA Church.  He and his brother Fred began Korgan Bros. Concrete Works in 1970 and continued until his retirement.

Lennard was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers (Daryl, LaVern, Myrl, Fred, and Cleo) and his sister Ardyce, also many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife Bonnie, a son Shawn Korgan, daughters Natalie Shutt (Brian), Heather Norris (Joshua), Brenda Klinkenberg (James), granddaughter Karlee Norris, grandson Jaron Norris, and sister Gayla Shutt (Jim).

A private family graveside service will be scheduled at the Ft. Lupton Hillside Cemetery.
