LaVeta (Lee) Drawve Busker, 87, of Sarasota, Florida, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026 at Port Charlotte Hospice House surrounded by her loving family after a brief battle with illness.
She was born March 9, 1938 in Rushville, Illinois to Homer and Elta Drawve. A graduate of Northwestern University, she made her home for many years in St. Charles and Geneva, Illinois before moving full time to her seasonal home in Placida, Florida and later to Sarasota, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 54 years, Walter, and her sister, Marilyn. She is survived by her sons Brad (Tina), Clay (Quincy), and her grandson Graham.
A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Lee dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. She found joy in holiday celebrations, family gatherings, and friendly games with family and friends. Her love of antiques and decorating reflected her creativity and eye for beauty, while her gentle spirit and thoughtful nature touched everyone who knew her.
Her family will hold a private memorial in her memory at a later date to celebrate a life well lived and deeply loved.
