Lanette Rae (Weimer) Wardlaw (64) passed away at her home in Greeley, CO on June 15, 2025.

Lanette was born September 24,1960 in Fort Morgan, CO to Robert and Jean Weimer. The family later moved to Kersey, CO where she completed her entire K-12 education in the Platte Valley School District. She later became a certified phlebotomist serving in the Greeley and Loveland areas for many years.

Her most meaningful and joyful accomplishments were found in her children, Shelby and Jeff Wardlaw. It warmed her heart to be with them. She fondly recalled trips to Phoenix to visit Jeff where, to her embarrassment, she would cry like a baby during the flight home. She was such an animal lover and cat sitting for Shelby generated the giggles because each cat came with “special” care instructions. That’s what moms do. They cry, they laugh they muddle through. And that, she did.

Lanette loved family gatherings and seldom missed special family occasions or just an afternoon of football. Her laughter and sense of humor were infectious and annoying at the same time. If you know, you know. That’s what made her unforgettable.

She will be forever missed by her daughter Shelby Wardlaw of Windsor; son Jeff Wardlaw of Phoenix; bonus daughter Melisa Wardlaw of Kersey;sister Kathy Weimer of CA; brother Rod Weimer (Rhonda) of Eaton; sister-in-law Karen Weimer of Colorado Springs; brothers-in-law Bill Bauer and Dennis Klein of Greeley; numerous nieces and nephews/great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Weimer and Jean Davis; sisters Vicky Klein and Julie Bauer; brothers Kenneth Weimer and Robert Weimer; niece Tonja Weimer. Services will be held at Eaton Community Church (1561 Benjamin Dr, Eaton, CO 80615) on Monday June 23rd at 2:00pm.
