IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kristine Louise
Masters
January 3, 1966 – January 23, 2025
Kris(tine) Masters, 59 years of age, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at her home in Greeley, CO.
Kris was born on January 3, 1966, in Denver, CO, to the late Edward D. Masters II and Linda L. Masters. Kris grew up in Aurora, CO and graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1984. She went on to attend Western State College in Gunnison, CO, and the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City. She worked in the medical administration field most of her career, along with being a Certified Massage Therapist.
Kris never married or had children, but she was surrounded by a number of very close friends, who became her chosen family. She was the primary care provider for her mother, until her passing.
Kris's happy place was Yellowstone National Park, she had a strong love
for the Rocky Mountains. Kris would spend her free time visiting the Rockies, straying from the beaten path to watch wildlife. It brought her happiness and peace. To know Kris is to have experienced her love of nature with her, as she was always excited to share with those around her. Kris was a loving, faithful friend who always took the time to call and check in. She mixed old friendships with her new friends and in turn they all became her group for special outings.
Kris was a steady force, she was adventurous, compassionate, genuine, confident, and straightforward. Kris's love for her mother, her nephews and their families, her grandnephew, and her own circle of friends was constant and unconditional and will be missed.
She is survived by her mother, Linda L. Masters, her sister Kay L. Zach (Chris), her nephews Lane M. Greenwalt (Elena) and Tyler M. Greenwalt (Ali) and her grandnephew, whom she enjoyed spending time with, Dean M. Greenwalt. She was preceded in in death by her father, Edward D. Masters II.
