Kevin William Motis, 67, of Kersey died Wednesday January 8, 2025, at Medical Center of the Rockies.

Kevin was born December 22, 1957, in Greeley, to Dan and Billie (Goff) Motis.

He grew up around Kersey, Greeley and Eaton. Graduating from Eaton High School in 1977.

Kevin married Linda Small on October 5, 1985, and had two children Nathan Motis and Tyler Motis. They later divorced. At the time of death, he had 3 grandchildren from Nathan Motis.

He then married Pauline Phelps on July 17, 2005, at Lilly Lake in Estes Park. Pauline has two children Tracy Harms and Dusty Harms. Two grandchildren, Weston and Callie. Three step grandchildren, Jocelyn, Noah and Ashlyn; along with two great grandchildren.

Kevin loved the mountains, hunting, traveling, and helping everyone. Summers were filled with camping as much as possible. In the fall, it was deer and elk hunting. The last several years were spent traveling.

At the time of his death, he worked for Holcim as a loader operator.

Survivors are his wife, Pauline of Kersey; two sons Nathan Motis and Tyler Motis; two stepchildren Tracy (Sarah) Harms of Eaton; Dusty Harms of Fort Collins; Father Dan (Helen) of Greeley; brother Mike (Jill) of Lakewood; sister Cherly Lookhart of Florida. He is preceded in death by his mother Billie Motis.

A Life Celebration will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, January 23, 2025, at Adamson Life Celebration Home, Greeley, Colorado.
