In Loving Memory of Kelly Eugene Slabaugh, 69, of Emmett, Idaho, passed

• away peacefully on September 27, 2025

at the VA Home in Boise, ID.

Kelly was born in Caldwell, Idaho, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital to Jack and Marilyn Slabaugh (Smith). He grew up with his sister, Deborah Blakley (Slabaugh), and carried a deep love for family, faith, and the simple joys of life.

Kelly attended Emmett Highschool. After-wards, Kelly proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served his country with honor. Following his service, he built a long and diverse career as an manager, correction officer, and electrical engineer, working for many well-known orgnizations including Boise State University, Micron, HP, Telco, and MK- always dedicated, hardworking, and respected by those who knew him.

Kelly loved playing baseball in his youth and bowling, even competing at Nationals, and was a talented artist who found joy in sketching and painting. He also loved Boise State Football.

Most importantly, Kelly was a man of strong faith. Having been saved, he lived his life grounded in his belief in God.

Kelly married three times throughout his life.

During his second marriage Kelly became a father and welcomed his daughter, Lindsey Marie Slabaugh. Kelly finally found his forever love in Janet Lynn Larsen, with whom he shared many joyful years. Together, Kelly and Janet created a beautiful blended family with 5 children and 12 grandchildren.

A Full Military Honors Service celebrating

Kelly's life will be held on October 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Boise Veterans Cemetery.

Kelly will be remembered for his unwavering faith, gentle heart. His presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
