Karen Eileen Fage

Karen Eileen Fage passed away at Lutheran hospital on October 21, 2025 at the age of 60. She will be greatly missed for her amazing love and support for others and her bright smile. She was born on December 15,1964 in Boulder, Colorado, to Anna Grilli and Robert Louis Duran. She grew up with 5 other siblings in Colorado. Karen graduated from Fairview High School in 1984, from there she did some college, got her CNA licenses, and worked in the Boulder Community Hospital. She moved to Holbrook, Nebraska, where she retired and spent her days raising her youngest daughter and watching her grandchildren. She loved to play Bingo with family, going fishing and just being surrounded with her family, especially with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 2022 she was diagnosed with stage 4 Non -Hodgkin lymphoma and she was able to beat the cancer in 2023. Since the cancer she has battled different health issues and succumbed to one of those health issues. She lived a beautiful, loving life, always smiling and laughing with family. She was kind hearted and loved to play pranks on her children, grandchildren and husband. She loved her Pepsi and would always try to hide them when her children would tell her no more. If you would like to celebrate her life with her family her service is November 17th at 12 pm at The Anchor Church and for the reception will be held at her niece’s house for her last round of BINGO please come send her off with love and memories.

She is survived by her husband Robert Fage, Children,  Belinda, Micheal, Jessica Duran, and Desirae Fage (Vince). Grandchildren: Angel Trujillo, Areanna Segundo, Chanel and Aiden Duran, Tyler Brown, Kailey and Alexis Carter, and soon to be Malachi Rose Great - Grandchildren: Camilla and Xavier Trujillo, Devianna, Mia, and Dev Smith. Father: Robert Duran. Sisters: Roberta Hickey, Janet Whitmore (Randy), and Brenda Duran. Brothers: Ronald and Phillip Duran (Amy). Along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins 

She’s preceded in death by her mother Anna Grilli (2012) and her grandson Issac Duran (2011) and her brother-in law Steven Hickey (2016) and some aunts and uncles.
