JUAN "JR" JUDAS MEDINA JR.

April 25, 1975 – May 9, 2025

Juan "JR" Judas Medina JR. better known as JR was born April 25, 1975, in Greeley, Colorado to Juan Laguna Medina Sr. And Delores Luevano. JR passed away in the hospital surrounded by family on May 9, 2025, in Greeley, Colorado at the age of 50.

JR was the youngest of his siblings and spent much of his life in Greeley, Colorado. He met many people and made plenty of friends throughout the years. When JR was able bodied, he enjoyed working on auto body, landscaping, and construction. JR loved football, you would never see him not sporting his favorite team the Dallas Cowboys in some way wherever he went. He was a die-hard fan, win or lose. JR enjoyed writing and calligraphy as a creative outlet. While with friends he liked rolling dice as a pastime. He liked to cook especially when he cooked for his family. In small ways he became more like his father, where he enjoyed talking about life, telling stories, and watching Westerns. Gunsmoke was his favorite show to watch when he was trying to unwind for the day. JR also enjoyed a good party and good music; he loved Spanish music. JR was a great dancer and enjoyed making the people around him laugh and smile with his larger-than-life personality. He was a jokester and a storyteller; there was never a dull moment when he was around, he was the life of the party. JR loved his children with all his being and was very proud of them all. He loved his family; his mom, dad, siblings, nieces and nephews. JR was an entertainer, a peacemaker, a storyteller, but most of all he was a lover.

JR is survived by his children Juan Judas Medina III (of Greeley, CO), Isaiah Medina (of Ft. Collins, CO), and Jareina Medina (of Johnstown, CO). His loving mother Delores Medina and his siblings George Medina, Debbie Medina, Robert Medina (of Greeley, CO) and Irene Morales (of Floydada, TX). JR is preceded in death by his father Juan Laguna Medina Sr. and his nephew Anthony Zaragoza.
