In Loving Memory of Joye Ann Schneider
August 11, 1935 – February 8, 2026
Joye Ann Schneider, age 90, of Greeley, Colorado, went home to be with the Lord on February 8, 2026. Born on August 11, 1935, in Clovis, New Mexico. Joye lived a full and faith-filled life devoted to her family, community, and church.
Joye moved to Greeley, Colorado, to attend Colorado State College of Education (now the University of Northern Colorado), where she earned her degree in education. She married Kenneth Schneider on September 30, 1956, and began her career as an elementary teacher in 1957. Together, Joye and Kenneth owned and operated Schneider Plumbing and Heating, their family business.
Her dedication extended beyond her professional life—she faithfully served for many years as treasurer of First Baptist Church of La Salle and remained deeply involved in her faith community as a member of the Widows Group and Christ Community Church in Greeley.
Joye cherished life’s simple pleasures, including reading, crocheting, and spending time with friends and family. Her gracious spirit, unwavering faith, and genuine love for others were a constant source of light to all who were blessed to know her.
Joye was preceded in death by her beloved husband Kenneth Schneider; her parents, William F. and Alice (Flanagan) Jones; her sister, Sue and husband Max Packard; brothers-in-law Chuck and wife Kay Schneider, Robert Schneider, Henry Leroy Schmidt, and Richard Schneider; her son-in-law, Jim Howerter; and nephews Darrel Schneider and Jeff Schneider.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Cindy Howerter; her son, Bill Schneider (Tammy); and her grandchildren, Justin Howerter (Mandy), Melissa Howerter (Matthew Alexander), and Reno Schneider. She was blessed with ten great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and cherished sisters/brother-in-law Phyllis Schmidt, Pat Kindvall, Marilyn Schneider, Susan Schneider and Ron Kindvall.
Her faith, kindness, and devotion to family will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved.
