Jose A. Gonzalez Troche, 60, of Amsterdam, NY, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Albany Medical Center.

Jose was born on January 4, 1965, in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico, to the late Monserrate Gonzalez and Isabel Troche. He and his family immigrated to the United States at a young age. He was a very happy person and was always seen smiling. He was very charismatic, loving, and passionate about music and art. Even though he had no children, he loved all his nieces and nephews as his own.

He was predeceased by his parents Monserrate and Isabel, as well as his brother Narcisco Gonzalez.

Jose is survived by his wife Maria Gonzalez; sisters Iris M. Rivera, Gladys, and Carmen Hernandez; brothers Rodolfo Gonzalez, Roberto Gonzalez, and Luis Gonzalez; along with many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Jose's arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010. A private interment will be held in the spring at St Michael's Cemetery.
