Jose Samuel Gonzales

Sam passed away on 8/30/2022 after a brief time with an illness. He was born in Monte Vista Colorado and lived in Denver/Thornton area. He is preceded in death by mother Viola, father Leo, brother Philip, sister Marlene, sister Rose and grandson Marcos. He is survived by wife Pat of 55 years, son Robert and daughter Kim (Tony) Granddaughters Kaitlyn, Klaudia, Bobbi, Jaime, grandson Joey, and dog Angel. He Survived by several brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sam started his career as a cook and then worked for the City of Denver. He eventually retired from CDOT. He was hard working and family oriented and had a very witty personality. He was a loving and giving grandfather that would do anything for his grandchildren. Sam loved going up to the "hills" after retirement and having poker nights. He will be missed very much and forever in our hearts.
