John Charles Smedley Jr., 77 years of age passed away Saturday, September 27, 2025 at Banner North Medical Center in Greeley CO

John was born in Cherry Point North Carolina. His family moved to Fresno CA when he was 3 years old. He was educated in the Fresno Unified School System in Fresno CA.

John had 2 sons with his first wife. In 1994 he married Carol Parks Cohen. They were married for 31 years.

John was a private pilot and he and Carol loved to fly together, they made wonderful memories.

John was a sheet metal worker for 5 years, he worked as a building inspector for 6 years. He built homes in the Madera area.

In 2013 John and Carol retired and moved to Millikin CO where John continued to build houses.

In 2022 he purchased 40 acres near Eaton CO and built a farmhouse. John loved working on his ranch and made many wonderful friends.

John leaves seven Grandchildren and six Great Grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
