Jeffrey Alan Cretcher

March 27, 1956 — January 21, 2025

"The pain of losing someone is the pain of resisting what is. In deep acceptance, love remains untouched. When you no longer identify with form, you see death for what it is: a doorway, not an ending." - Eckhart Tolle

Jeffrey Cretcher, a devoted husband and loving father, passed away on January 21st, 2025, leaving an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Born on March 27, 1956 in Germany, Jeff grew up in Ohio before making California his home for over 30 years. He lived a life filled with kindness, adventure, and deep devotion to self-fulfillment. He was an exceptionally skilled contractor and his passion for technology and craftsmanship was matched only by his deep love for his family. Jeff’s warmth, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to those he cherished will be profoundly missed. He is survived by his beloved wife, Naomi, and his four children, Cole, Clay, Clint, and Aleja, who will carry forward his legacy of love and strength. Jeffrey also leaves behind his father, Richard Cretcher, and his brother, Mark Cretcher, with whom he shared a lifelong bond.

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held on March 1, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Lucie Stern Community Center in Palo Alto, where we will gather to honor his memory and the love he shared with the world.

Jeffrey's Celebration of Life

Saturday, March 1, 2025

12:30 - 3:00 pm

We invite all who knew and loved Jeff Cretcher to join us in celebrating his remarkable life. A devoted father, friend, and mentor, Jeff had a way of making everyone around him feel seen and valued. His humor, wisdom, and endless love touched so many, and we want to gather together to reflect on the moments that made him the extraordinary man he was. This will be a time to share stories, laugh, and remember Jeff in the ways he would’ve wanted—surrounded by friends, family, and those whose lives he changed. Whether you knew him through his love for creativity, his generous heart, or the way he always knew how to make you smile, his spirit will live on in each of us. Please bring your favorite memories, pictures, and stories to share as we honor the legacy of a man who meant so much to so many. There is no dress code. Do we need to register to join the streaming link? I don't believe so! I think it will be up and running at the start time on this website.
