James Lewis Sherrer

September 30, 1991 — June 5, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of James Lewis Sherrer, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, who left this world far too soon on June 5, 2025, at the age of 33. James was born on September 30, 1991, in Lebanon, Missouri, where he spent his childhood surrounded by the love of his family and the beauty of the Ozarks.

James lived a life full of joy, love, and dedication to those around him. James was a devoted father to his daughter, Natalie, and his two sons, Dallas and Knox. He took immense pride in being a father, cherishing every moment spent with his children, nurturing their dreams, and imparting the values of kindness, hard work, and compassion.

James’s loving spirit will also be remembered by his devoted mother, Maxine Sherrer, and his sister, April Luke, who shared countless memories and a bond that only siblings can understand. He was a source of strength and support for his family, always ready with a listening ear or a helping hand.

James’s life was marked by the love he had for those around him, yet it was also shadowed by the loss of cherished family members. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Memphis Sherrer"BubBub", who left a profound impact and a deep void in his life; his goddaughter, Jailei Luke; his father, James Sherrer; his brother, Justin Ward; and his cherished grandparents, Virginia Devore, Dorris Sherrer, and Adrian Sherrer. He also mourned the loss of his "Nunky"/Uncle Terry Ward. Each of these individuals played a significant role in shaping the person James was, and their memories will forever remain etched in his heart.

James’s life was a testament to resilience, love, and the power of family. He had an infectious smile that could light up any room and a quick wit that brought laughter to those around him. His kindness knew no bounds, and he always found ways to uplift others, even in his most challenging moments.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of James on June 9, 2025, Shadels Funeral Home for a service celebrating his life. The service will commence at 2:00 PM, where we will honor the memories of James and share stories that reflect his generous spirit and profound impact on our lives.

As we say goodbye to this remarkable man, let us carry forward his legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to family. James Lewis Sherrer will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
