Obituary

Harold (Hal) Warren, 87, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025 at Nathan Littauer Hospital. Harold was born July 9, 1938 in Camden, NJ to Victoria (Ackerman) and Harold B. Warren.

Harold graduated from Morristown High School in 1957. He served as a member of the Army National Guard for 8 years.

Harold worked at Bell Telephone Laboratories, Holmdel, NJ, as a Computer Supervisor; GTE Data Services, Johnstown, NY, as a Manager; and for 18 years as a City of Johnstown Fire Fighter. In 1971, Harold founded JAVAC (Johnstown Area Volunteer Ambulance Corp).

Harold loved music and theater. Over the years, he was an active member of Colonial Little Theater, The Galway Players, The Heatly School and numerous other high school and small theater organizations. He volunteered as a percussion instructor at Oppenheim Ephratah School for several years.

Harold was predeceased by his parents, Victoria and Harold B. Warren, and his sister Marilyn Connelley.

Harold was most proud of his family. He is survived by his loving Wife of 66 years, Dawn Warren. He is also survived by his children Leslie (Rick) Garber, Heather (Jack) Hladik, and Lindsay Warren; his grandchildren Jon (Mariah) Owens, Mike (ToniAnn) Garber, Christian (Ashley) Garber, Matthew (Nicolle) Warren, and Kylie Warren; his step grandchildren Brandy (Ralph) Hayner and Raymond (Jen) Hladik; his great grandchildren Deagan Owens, Carson and Charlotte Garber, Caiden Garber, and Santiago Warren; his step great grandchildren Ellie and Aaron Hladik; and many wonderful nieces and nephews.

Harold's family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the Nathan Littauer Nursing Home and the SCU at Nathan Littauer Hospital for their compassionate and outstanding care. We are truly grateful.

At the request of the Family, there will be no services. A Celebration of Life is planned for Spring. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Brennan Humane Society or the Fulton County Regional SPCA.
