Guy Carlton Royal, 78, of Pine Tree Way, Gloversville, NY, passed away on Saturday, June 7th at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY.

He was born on October 30,1946 in Huntington Station, Long Island, NY. He was the son of the late Franklin and Ruth Kitt Royal.

Guy was a graduate of Mayfield High School and after joined the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War as a Tank Crewman.

After his service in Vietnam, Guy first worked for Gill Fraiser in Gloversville for several years. He later was employed by Cushing Stone Company in Rotterdam, NY, where he operated the Secondary Plant for 13 years until retiring in 1983.

Guy was a member of the Broadalbin VFW Post 8690 and the American Legion Post 337, Broadalbin, NY.

He is survived by his two sons, Bryce C. Royal of Gloversville and Lance T. Royal and his wife Jessica of Missouri. Guy had five grandchildren: Dakota Royal of Texas, Broderick Royal from Gloversville, Dallas Royal stationed in Hawaii, Olivia and Laila Royal of Missouri. Guy was predeceased by his life partner Pamela Petersen. Guy maintained a family relationship with Fred Petersen, Brittany Ferjanec, Jessica Sweet and Amanda Flood

It was Guy's request that there be no funeral services. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Broadalbin VFW Post 8690, 19 Pine Street, Broadalbin, NY 12025 or to the American Legion Post 337, 19 North Main Street, Broadalbin,

NY 12025.
