Guy Louis Chick, 52, of Greeley, passed away peacefully January 7, 2025. He was born in Greeley Feb. 23, 1972, to Jimmie and Patricia Chick.

Guy grew up in Johnstown with a joy for sports. He especially loved baseball, starting with Little League, and served as batboy for the CSU baseball team from 1982-84. Guy graduated in 1990 from Roosevelt High School, where he participated in both baseball and basketball.

He then developed an interest in the food industry and became an accomplished cook at a number of hotels and restaurants in both Colorado and Wisconsin; but his favorite place to work was Coors Field, where he could practice his trade and be close to baseball.

In addition to being a huge fan of the Colorado Rockies, he was also a loyal follower of the Denver Broncos and Denver Nuggets and loved to show his support of those teams through his hat collection.

Guy was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents. Survivors include four children, Brandon, Aundrea, Brandi and Dakota; siblings Alan (Amy) Gibson, Debbie (Cavinaugh) Smith, Jeff (Norene) Chick, Tina Chick and Jimmy (Stevie) Chick; and several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, in-laws and cousins.
