Someone we love has gone Fishing in Heaven
At the age of 61, Gary Wayne Wilder passed away on June 5th 2024 in Puyallup, Washington surrounded by family. Gary was born third of 5 siblings judy james susan and dennis. in the small town of Larned Kansas to father James David (Buster) Wilder and mother Shirley Carol Wilder (Hicks). Gary had a wide range of interests and decided to end his education at a young age but never let that hold him back from doing the things he loved. Gary was a smart and self-sufficient man teaching himself how to do everything from rebuilding motors/restoring cars to sewing new seat covers for his boat, The Misty Pearl. Gary explored many things in his life developing a love for harleys, music and cooking. Gary is well known for his dedicated and hard working nature serving 30+ years at Corliss Construction as a concrete truck driver doing everything he could to provide for his family. After leaving his job with Corliss Gary went on to discover other desired interests in his life, diving head first into music he found a love for Metallica that was almost as great as his love for Lynard Skynard. He spent countless hours watching their music videos attempting to learn how to play their songs on a cherished guitar he had inherited from his father. Along with the guitar Gary also inherited a big heart and kindness from his parents, always helping anyone who needed it, whether it be giving advice, a job if someone needed money, or fixing your car being the skilled mechanic that he was. Gary inspired many people to do and be better through wisdom and lessons they were fortunate to have learned and will never forget. Gary is preceded in death by his father and mother and his brother Dennis. He is lived on through his children Daneil & Mandy Green, Tosha Wilder, Kaylie Wilder, his Ex Wife/ Best Friend Sheila Wilder and his 9 grandchildren, Audery, Emrie, Ryder, Sophia, Guy, Dennis, Zoei, Zailor and Xeplyn, whom he loved spending time with most of all, there was nothing Gary wouldn't do for his family.
