In Loving Memory of Gary Rex

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gary Rex, a beloved husband, brother, and friend. Born in Lima, Ohio, Gary later made New Mexico his home, where he built a full and meaningful life surrounded by people he loved.

Gary enjoyed a long and successful career in the construction industry.  He retired from Boeing as a Laser Technician. His strong work ethic and dedication were evident throughout his professional life.

In retirement, Gary found great joy at home with his wife, Meredith. He spent his time remodeling their house, tending his yard, and planting flowers in his garden—projects that reflected both his skill and his love for creating a beautiful, welcoming home for him and Meredith.

Gary was a devoted friend who valued connection. He stayed close with many friends through gatherings, card games, golf, and regular communication with lifelong friends from Ohio and New Mexico. He had a deep love for music, golf, and, most of all, spending time talking and laughing with friends.

Gary also had a special place in his heart for animals. Over the years, he lovingly cared for his cats and his cherished Dachshunds, who were truly part of his family.

He will be remembered for his zest for life, his kind and open heart, and his willingness to help friends, relatives, and neighbors whenever he was needed. Gary’s sense of humor, generosity, and loving spirit will be deeply missed.

Gary is survived by his wife, Meredith Rex; his sister-in-law, Pam Delbosco; his sister, Kathy Kerr, and brother-in-law, Tom Kerr; and his brother, Michael Lancaster, and sister-in-law, Kathy Lancaster.
