There are special people in our lives who never leave us, even after they are gone.
Gary John Heiman, 71, died unexpectedly at a Santa Ana hospital. He was born January 27,1953, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of John F. and Claire (Huberti) Heiman.
Gary received his GED and went on to work as an apprentice with Weathersfield Pharmacy in Schaumburg, He then put himself through college that led to his long career in Computer Programing.
Gary was a unique individual who had many passions in life and committed himself fully to all of them. Among his favorites are computers, HO Model Trains, bodybuilding , gourmet cooking, reading, photography, boating, fishing, playing golf, and watching sports. He enjoyed being out in nature and he especially enjoyed many years of his season tickets for the Chicago Blackhawks, along with his brother, John.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Timothy Allan who died at birth and a sister, Marlene (Ken). He is survived by his loving daughter Cyndi Anne Lee and her husband Tod, of South Elgin,Il. His ex-wife Susan Perkins, mother of their two children. Three grandchildren, April, Mysti and Jason Lee. Two brothers, John and his wife, Sharon (Musial) Heiman of Schaumburg, Illinois and Alan Heiman, also of Schaumburg; and two sisters, Kathy and Nancy Heiman, Schaumburg. Nieces and Nephews, Amy (Bob) Walker of Lafayette, California, Ken Anderson, of Seattle, Washington, and Trevor and Kailey Heiman of Schaumburg, Illinois.
A memorial service is being planned in Illinois for a future date to be determined.
