IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frank Paul
Santoro
January 7, 1946 – April 5, 2025
The patriarch of our family has earned his wings. Frank P. Santoro, born in Schenectady, NY on January 7, 1946, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 5, 2025, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Frank was the son of the late Andrew Santoro and Mary (Teta) Santoro. He attended Schenectady Schools and right after, joined the United States Marine Corps. Frank was deployed to Vietnam during the Vietnam War, proudly serving his country. He was later employed by General Electric as a Leader of Vehicle Maintenance Repair where he worked for 35 years, retiring in 2002.
Frank enjoyed his trips to Wells, ME and Cape Cod, his bowling leagues and tournaments, and over the last couple of years volunteering at the Greater Galway Food Pantry. Through his many accomplishments in his life… from serving his country to rebuilding his camp on Galway Lake, from being able to fix just about anything with a motor to maintaining and upgrading his beloved Harley and many corvettes throughout his years, from upkeeping the most amazing head of hair you have seen to building a garage bigger than his house with every bell and whistle… his greatest accomplishment, where his heart was always on his sleeve, was his family. If you have ever spoken with him, you know this!
Frank is survived by his wife Linda Ferlazzo, his sons Christopher (Alexia) and Anthony (Katy), Linda's children Edward and Kristin (Bryan) Proctor and his 5 beautiful grandchildren, Chase, Avery, Samantha, Stella and Grayson.
There will be a service of remembrance on Friday April 11, 2025, at 12pm at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home ,171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010. The family will receive family and friends from 11am to 12pm. A private interment will follow the service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
