**Obituary for Eugene "Gene" Robert Whittaker** Eugene "Gene" Robert Whittaker, born on March 18, 1951, in Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, in Haines City, Florida. He was 74 years old. Gene is survived by his loving family, including his daughter, Brandy (Chris) Cockfield, sons George Whittaker, Eugene (Susan) Kroesing, and John (Stephanie) Kroesing. Grandchildren Cecelia, Bailey, and Eliza Cockfield, Eugene, Hunter, Alex, Matthew, and Riley Kroesing, and partner Delores Trye.  He is proceeded in death by his parents George and Cleo Whittaker, brothers George and John, and sisters Ann, Helen, Carol, and Nancy. In accordance with his wishes Gene was cremated, and there will be no funeral or ceremony. The family kindly requests that all who wish to honor Gene's memory do so in their own special way. As we remember Gene, let us cherish the laughter and love he brought into our lives. He will be greatly missed, but his spirit will live on in our hearts.
