IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ernest L.
Nacco
July 8, 1947 – November 30, 2025
Ernest L. Nacco Jr., cherished father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025 at the age of 78, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 8, 1947, in Schenectady, New York, and raised by Ernest and Erma Nacco Sr.
Ernie proudly served four years in the US Air Force, including a tour in Vietnam. He retired from the Air National Guard in Scotia, where he was a jet engine mechanic. He loved seeing the Blue Angels, listening to old rock ‘n’ roll, and being out on the golf course. Ernie always had a good joke to share and a helping hand for those in need. His most cherished moments were times he was with his children and grandchildren. He was the first one to get on the floor to play.
He is survived by his children, Thomas (Courtney) Nacco, Bethany (Tom) King, Kathryn (Tim) Newkirk; his grandchildren, Jacob, Emmaline, Caroline, Samuel, and Carter; his brother Dennis Nacco; his sisters, Barbara Busch and Linda Cammarano; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11 AM at Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY. A service will take place at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor Thomas Flander officiating. Interment will take place privately at a later date at the Saratoga National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in Ernie’s memory.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home.
