Eleanor R. Koons, 76, passed away on Monday morning, March 31, 2025 at her home on Midline Road in Amsterdam, NY.

Eleanor was born on January 6, 1949 in Schenectady, NY, and was the daughter of the late William and Bessie (Kenfield) Koons. Eleanor was very active with the Liberty ARC throughout her life.

She enjoyed puzzles, working with coloring books, word puzzles, playing Bingo, watching Cops, CSI and FBI TV shows, and spending time with her family and especially her Liberty family.

Eleanor is predeceased by her late sister, Linda Foster; and her late brother, Donald Koons. She is survived by her sister, Donna Hirschfield of Amsterdam; several nieces, nephews, and cousins,   as well as her Liberty family.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Tribes Hill, NY where her cremated remains will be laid to rest near her mother and father.
