Dorshia Morton

January 28, 1940 — May 19, 2025

It is written: "To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the Heaven," such was the case of Dorshia Morton when she blessed the world with her presence on January 28, 1940 to loving parents Anderson and Lithia Mae. Dorshia was affectionately known, charmed many people with her wit, smile and personality, but the heart and soul of a man named Frank in 1960. The two lovebirds exchanged the vows of holy matrimony with the words, 'I do" uniting them as one.

Dorshia was a lifetime Home Maker and gave support wherever it was needed. She was an avid Georgia Bulldogs Fan and enjoyed watching all sports. Her motherly love landed her the position of "Team Mom" for the local little league Eagles Football Team.

Dorshia accepted Christ at an early age and was a dedicated and faithful member of Greater St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Unity Usher Board and gave support to may of the auxiliaries. She loved her church and church family.

Her author and finisher of our soul's destiny, summoned the mortal presence of dearly beloved, Dorshia to eternal rest, as she has made life's final transition from earthly travailing heavenly reward on Monday, May 19, 2025.

Her warm hugs and bright smile will be cherished in the hearts and memories of her family, friends, church friends, and others who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anderson and Litha and siblings: Louise Campbell, David Anderson, Charlie, Clayton, Melvin, Gladis, Alberta, Ervin, Lorenzo and Oliver Smith.
