Dolores K. Phelps, 85, of the Town of Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 13, 2025. She was born on December 7, 1939, to the late Arthur and Ethel (Kendle) Wood.

Dolores, affectionately known as Sis or Billie Dee by her family and friends, was a wonderful singer & musician, and played in a band for many years. She also enjoyed cooking, outdoors, and helping others. She was a hard worker that loved to make people happy.

She was predeceased by her husband Roy E. Phelps; son Mark A. Phelps; parents Arthur and Ethel Wood; as well as brothers Gerald Wood and Claude Farone.

She is survived by her nephews Kevin (Kim) Wood and Jeremy Farone; nieces Dawn (John) Merrill, Emmy Lou Farone, and Chastity Farone; sister-in-law Linda Wood; Aunt Kathleen Kendle; along with many cousins.

Dolores' care has been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010. A private interment in the family plot will be held at the convenience of the family.
