Delores Denise Dickey

A Life Filled With Love and Family

We are sad to announce the passing of Delores Dickey on October 8, 2025, in Gastonia, North Carolina, at the age of 102. She was born on October 20, 1922, to Arthur Wallace and Deborah Dickey.

Delores married the love of her life, Elijah Consuello, in 1945 and together they had four children: Georgia Dickey (spouse Darryl Lipscomb), Gary Dickey (spouse Ashley Dickey), Ann Burris (spouse David Burris), and Cardine Dickey (spouse Oidelon Gonzalez).

During her life, Delores worked at the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office before retiring in 1967. She was known for her sharp wit, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for her family.

Delores leaves behind three grandchildren, as well as a host of friends and loved ones who will always cherish her memory. She will be dearly missed but fondly remembered for her zest for life and her ability to always find the laughter in any situation.
