David Lee Stotts November 16, 1954 – February 16, 2026

 David Lee Stotts, 71, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026.

 Born on November 16, 1954, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, David carried the grit and determination of his Appalachian roots wherever life took him. In time, he made his way to Florida, where he built a life through hard work, skill, and dedication to his family.

A mechanic by trade, David was known for his strong hands and sharp mind. If something was broken, he could fix it. He believed in doing things the right way, not the easy way, and he passed that mindset down to his children. His work ethic was not just something he talked about; it was something he lived every day. David had a personality as bold as the things he loved. He had a deep appreciation for dragons which are symbols of strength and power, and he valued his firearms, respecting both the responsibility and independence that came with them. He was a man who stood firm in what he believed.

He was married to his wife, Lonnette Stotts, who survives him. Above all, David was a father in every sense of the word, steady, strong-willed, and present. Through smooth seasons and difficult roads alike, he remained consistent. When life tested those he loved, he did not walk away. He waited. He showed up. He opened his arms. Not because love was earned, but because love was who he was.

 He leaves behind his wife, Lonnette Stotts; and his children: Misty Dawn Mason and her husband, Jacob Mason; David Lee Stotts II and his wife, Maigen Stotts; William (Billy) Rowe; Tabitha Weaver Stotts; Hope Bibbee; Willis Geer; Larry Sams and his wife Freda Sams; Ruby (Randy) Flanagan and her husband Tim Flanagan; Bobby Sams; and Daniel Thomas. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many loved ones, who will continue to carry his strength, determination, and spirit forward.

Though his earthly days have ended, the lessons he taught about grit, loyalty, and unconditional love remain. His life was measured not only in days, but in the countless lives he shaped along the way. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
