Mr. David R. Ward, 57, of Gloversville, died February 4, 2026, at Ellis Hospital after a long illness.

He was born August 31, 1968, in Gloversville, NY and was the son of late Robert and Rella Ward.

David was a Gloversville High School graduate of the class of 1986.

He first worked at Moore's Lumber Co., in Johnstown for a number of years and after was employed as a maintenance mechanic for FMCC in Johnstown for over 15 years.

David enjoyed bowling, watching westerns and driving his Harley motorcycle. He loved spending time with his family, especially at the family camp in Caroga Lake.

On January 10, 1999, David married the former Jeanette Rzesos. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, David R. Ward Jr. and his wife Ashley of the town of Bleecker and Robert J. Ward and his wife Elizabeth of Broadalbin, a brother Mike Lizio of the State of Oregon and two grandchildren, Jayden and Luca.

It was David's request there be no funeral service.
