Alisauski
December 9, 1946 – December 13, 2025
Daniel John Alisauski, 79, of Ballston Spa, New York passed away at his home after a long illness.
He was born December 9, 1946 in Amsterdam New York and was the son of the late Sylvester and Helen Miciulis Alisauski. Daniel was a graduate of the Wilbur H. Lynch High School Class of 1964, and he was a lifelong area resident.
Daniel was first employed at Mohasco Industries in Amsterdam as Apprentice Machinist and after was employed at the General Electric Co. in Schenectady for 40 1/2 years as a Machine operator and a Winder Assembler Instructor, in Large Steam Turbine & Generator Dept. He retired February 2007.
Daniel was a communicant of the former St. Casimir's Church of Amsterdam and St Mary's Church of Ballston Spa.
Daniel was very interested in mechanics and machinery as a teenager, repairing small engines and machinery. Later he majored in Electricity in High School. He took on all challenges in many trades. When married, he loved camping, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, traveling, and motorcycling. He built a very unique, yellow 3 wheel motorcycle car that he proudly drove for many years.
On November 5, 1966 he married the former Lucille M. Gagnon.
In addition to his beloved wife, his loving family includes his children, Audrey M. and her husband Jason Forbes, and Laura L.; his sister Dale Ann, of Broadalbin and three brothers, Daryl of Broadalbin, David of New York City, and Duane of Amsterdam; five grandchildren, Rachel, Isaac and Eli Forbes and Taylor Baker and Austin Newton of Texas.
Daniel was predeceased by his first daughter, baby Alisauski.
Funeral services will take place on Friday, December 19th at 11:00 am at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday from 10 to 11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Casimir's Cemetery in Amsterdam.
