Dan Williams

Dan A Williams passed away January 15, at Lakeland Regional Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky in 1940. He was a graduate of University of Florida, and a lifelong proud Gator fan. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Julie, and 2 sons who married amazing women. Michael and Amy have 3 wonderful daughters, Amber, Ashley and April. Steve and Karen have 2 awesome sons, Grant and Luke. Dan was so proud of his family. He is also survived by his sister Agnes of Harrogate, Tennessee. Dan retired from Lockheed Martin where he was an environmental engineer. After retirement he and Julie bought an RV and saw much of this country, including Alaska. Later they travelled to Europe several times. He particularly loved Italy. He raised beautiful orchids and was a member of the Ridge Orchid Society. Inurnment service will be at St. Matthew Catholic church. Due to COVID, service will be for family only. Contributions honoring Dan can be made to St. Matthew Church or St. Jude’s Hospital for Children in Memphis, Tn.
