It Is Well With My Soul

Clifford “Cliff” Seifert peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father on April 27, 2025 after a brief hospitalization in Oklahoma City, OK.  Cliff was born September 24, 1940 to Eva Lee and Paul Seifert in Aline, OK.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Janet (Sims) Seifert, and sisters Mildred Hager, Juanita Dixon, and Glenda Lebowski.  He is survived in death by his daughter Tava Seifert Jones of Norman, OK, son-in-law Jay Jones of Norman, OK, son Tad Seifert of Louisville, KY, and grandchildren Mallory, Hunter, and Charlie.  Cliff grew up in northwest Oklahoma and graduated from Aline High School in 1958.  He attended the University of Oklahoma on a partial athletic scholarship (tennis), and ultimately graduated from Phillips University, in Enid, OK, in 1964.  Cliff married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Janet, on September 21, 1964. After a stop in both Altus, OK, and Oklahoma City, OK, the couple ultimately settled in Enid, OK, where they both remained until their respective passings.  Cliff worked as a design engineer for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 34 years.   Upon his retirement in 2003, he stated that he was “now going to be a full-time employee for his ‘real boss,’ Janet.” Cliff enjoyed woodworking, Jeep restorations, Oklahoma football, and spending time with his grandchildren. He had been a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Enid, OK, since 1991.  His funeral service will be held  at Emmanuel Baptist Church, in Enid, OK  on Wednesday, April 30, at 1pm.  A memorial service will immediately follow at Star Memorial Cemetary in Aline, OK.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Water Wells for Africa (WWFA).
