Claudia M DeVoe, 75, entered into eternal rest on February 16, 2025 at Albany Medical Center. She was born November 22, 1949 in Broadalbin, New York. She was the daughter of the late Edward Baird and Cora, Dingman Baird.
Claudia was married to Stanley DeVoe Junior on January 20, 1968. Claudia worked in the healthcare field for several years retiring from the Getman home in Gloversville, New York in the early 2000s. She was a proud cofounder and owner of DeVoe Park where she and her husband, Stan serve the communities private event and recreational needs. She's often remembered as the life of the party as you could always find her near the dance floor. Claudia was an inspired bowler playing in several local leagues making long-term connections. She spent her later years, enjoying her role as a grandmother, as well as shopping and spending quality time with her friends. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR races rooting for Kyle Bush every Sunday. She has survived by her children, Juanita DeVoe Griffin (Christopher) of Mohawk in Stanley DeVoe the third (Linda) of Gloversville; her grandchildren, Brandon(Cassandra) Griffin and Benjamin(Moriah) Griffin of Herkimer; her great grandchildren, patrick and Oliver Griffin; her siblings, Robert(Carol) Baird of Perth, Darlene (Mark) Marrone of Broadalbin, and David (Julie) Baird of Fultonville as well as several nieces and nephews.
Claudia is Pre by her daughter, Melissa a DeVoe; her siblings, Gerald Horton, Albert J. Baird, Kay A. Baird, Larry Baird, Edward C. Baird and Dennis G. Baird; her husband, Stanley B. DeVoe, Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 21 from 12 to 2 PM at the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Funeral Home 51 Fremont St., Gloversville, NY.
A memorial service will begin at 2 PM. Immediate following the memorial service family and friends are invited together at the Concordia Club 138 Concordia Club Rd., Gloversville, NY. to remember Claudia's journey through life.
