Chris was a man who found happiness in the little things—whether he was watching reality TV like Big Brother, spending time with his favorite people, cracking jokes too loud for the room, or rooting for the Vikings, he lived out loud—and with love. He never quite mastered the concept of an indoor voice, but he mastered something much more important: being present. He showed up for his daughter, always, and with his whole heart. He never missed an opportunity to remind her just how much he loved her.

Chris was attentive, curious, funny, and unapologetically himself—even when he drove you nuts. He had a knack for turning the ordinary into something funny or weird or wonderful. He wasn't always polished, but he was real. And when he loved you, you felt it every day.

Christopher was preceded in death by his parents, Mark and Arlet Soderlund, and his brother, Kenny Jay. He is survived by his loving daughter, Tabatha Soderlund, and his sister, Teri Kelley.
