**Obituary of Cheryl "Cher" Lou Ward** Cheryl "Cher" Lou Ward, born on June 28, 1954, in Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, at her home in Anaheim, California. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, whose generous spirit touched the lives of those around her. Cher's journey began in Ohio, but she later attended John F. Kennedy High School in La Palma, California. Following her schooling, she met and married Jim Ward and started their family. She devoted herself to her family and career in the accounting department at Rockwell, and was very active in her church at Covenant Presbyterian. Cher’s legacy lives on through her family, including her sons Richard and William Ward, as well as her daughters-in-law, Melisa and Tiffanie Ward. She took great pride in her role as a grandmother to Garrett, Ashley, Alexis, Trinity, Michelle, Austin, and Mackenzie Ward.
A lover of animals, music, and outdoor activities, Cher had a zest for life that radiated through her passions which included baking, playing games, and bike riding. Her vivacious personality and her generous spirit will be deeply missed. In honoring Cheryl's memory, the family expresses that, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Cher's farewell leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who loved her. A kind matriarch, whose memory will continue to shine in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
