Charles L. Wilmoth, 87, of Evans, CO, passed away on March 22, 2025, at North Colorado Medical Center. He was born October 26, 1937, in Alma, Colorado, to Angus Rollie Wilmoth, Sr. and Hazel Beth (Jones) Wilmoth. Charles grew up in the Decono/Fredrick and Denver areas. He served in the United States Army.
Charles and Sandra Hubbs were married November 17, 1983, in Greeley.
Charles was a pipefitter and a member of the Pipefitters Local 208 for 59 years. He loved his family, children, work and animals. He lived his Christian faith and was an inspiration to many. He enjoyed doing home projects, building computers, studying the Bible, and tinkering on cars. He and Sandra enjoyed traveling and visiting museums and historical sites.
Charles is survived by his wife Sandra Wilmoth of Greeley; daughters, Dr. Shirley Nix of Greeley and Christine Oberle and husband Jerry of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; his grandchildren, Amber Tate of Denver, Trevor Oberle and wife Tiffany of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Adam Salser and wife Amanda of Severance; 6 great-grandchildren; and his siblings Robert Wilmoth of Westminster, Perry Wilmoth of Thornton, Judy Mason of Mount Washington, Kentucky, and Ruby Paris of West Plains, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Angus Rollie Wilmoth, Jr., Hazel Adolph, Roy Wilmoth, Eugene Wilmoth, Phyllis Elms, Jimmy Wilmoth and Warren Wilmoth.
A Life Celebration will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Adamson Life Celebration Home. Interment Hillside Cemetery, Fort Lupton.
