Charles "Tut" Ammons Sr

Obituary Charles C. "Tut" Ammons, Sr., 71, passed away January 14, 2013. He was born on September 23, 1941 in Hardin, (Vine Grove), Kentucky to the late James Alex and Lena Mae Ammons. He was a member of the Masonic Mason of Anderson Lodge # 90 F AM, Scottish Rite and the Oleika Shriner. Charles is survived by his wife, Rita Ellis Ammons, two sons, Chuck Ammons (April), Frankfort; and Cavin Ray Ammons (Teresa Murphy), Frankfort; his seven sisters, Lavern Light, Vine Grove; Betty Lancaster, Barbara Myers, Deborah Conder, Margaret Manini, Wanda Kelly, all of Radcliff; and Teresa Moss, Elizabethtown; one Grandson Kaelin Andrew Ammons (Amanda Thompson); great grandson, Ryker Elias Ammons; one step grandson Gabe Gortney (Summer) ; two step grandchildren, Maddax Jade Gortney and Gannon Gabriel Gortney; two step sons, Charles (Joe)Craig Jr. (Sharon); Jason Lee Craig (Cynthia) two step grandchildren Maygan Craig and Jason Allen Craig; two brothers, Billy Ammons and Joe Ammons. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Chermain Fair Ammons and five brothers. Funeral Information Funeral will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 5-8 PM, Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at the funeral home.
