Charles H. Ramey, 78, of Leitchfield, Kentucky, passed away peacefully in his home on March 7, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in 1946 in Ashland, Kentucky, Charles was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a man of quiet strength and unwavering faith, who found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Charles was a loving husband to Joanne Ramey for 58 years. Their bond was a testament to enduring love and partnership centered around Christ. He was a cherished father to Ann Marie Jones (Joel) and Brandy Ramey (Jordan Sloan). His daughters were a source of immense pride and joy.

His grandchildren, Emily Renzelmann, (Lucas), Josie Bevins, and Macie Bevins, held a very special place in his heart. He treasured every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that will be forever cherished.

Charles was a man of deep faith, finding solace and strength in reading the Word of God. He also had a passion for UK basketball, enthusiastically cheering on his beloved Wildcats. Additionally, he loved to spend his time on the golf course for the past 60 years of his life. Above all, Charles loved spending time with his family, creating a warm and loving home filled with laughter and love, and enjoying fellowship with other believers at church. He enjoyed yard work and working on his home every day.  He also enjoyed playing pool and darts with his family. He worked as a Crane Operator at AK Steel in Ashland, Ky., for 30 years and retired in August 2002.

He will be deeply missed by his wife, Joanne; his beloved dog, Cassie; his daughters, Ann Marie (Joel) and Brandy (Jordan); his stepbrother Brent (Debbie); his step-sister, Vallery; his grandchildren, Emily (Lucas) and Josie, Macie; and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial will be held in his honor on March 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m . The memorial will be held at Gospel Light Baptist Church; 1115 Trinity Ln. in Ashland, Kentucky.
