Chad Anthony Palmer, 51,
of Waterloo, Iowa, passed
away on February 4, 2024.
He was born on July 19,
1972, in Wurzburg,
Germany.
Chad was an amazingly
gifted musician who could play any instrument. He began
his music career playing
various instruments such
as the cornet, saxophone,
violin, and stand-up bass.
At the age of 16, he built
his first guitar with his
grandfather Palmer and
later played bass, lead
guitar, and/or drums in five
different bands. Chad was
also known for his talent
in repairing violins.
Chad was described as hardworking, optimistic, and caring. His generous spirit extended to being an organ donor, with his kidney donations positively impacting the lives of two individuals. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Chad leaves behind his loving mother, Shelly Stapleton, step-father John Rivera (Amy), sister Charity Heide (David), brother Christopher Rivera, as well as cherished aunts Christine McGee and Kim Brunson, uncle Kevin Carroll, and especially beloved cousins Stacey Springer, Melissa McGee- Lynott, and Mike Bean. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Palmer, and his grandparents Ivan and LaVonne Cusher, Bea and Don Brunson, and Ivan and Pat Palmer.
A celebration of Chad's life will take place on March 17 from 2-5pm at
