Catherine (Cathy) Smith, 71, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, in Eaton, Colorado. Born on April 8, 1954, in Palisade, Colorado, Catherine lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of nature and family.

Cathy was known for her kind spirit and big heart. She found joy in the quiet pleasures of life—solving crossword puzzles with thoughtful focus, taking spontaneous drives with no set destination, casting a line into the water while fishing, and soaking in the beauty of the world around her through sightseeing adventures. Her love for the outdoors was matched only by her devotion to her family.

She was a cherished mother to her son Jeremy and a proud grandmother to Cody and Leilani. Cathy also shared a close bond with her brother Richard. She held dear the memories of those who preceded her in death: her parents, Elizabeth J. (Kurtz) and Glenn C., and her brother David.

A woman of faith, Cathy was a member of Northern Colorado Cowboy Church, where she found community and spiritual connection.

Her presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. May her memory bring comfort and peace to all whose lives she touched. A Memorial Service will be held on June 20, 2025, at 03:00 PM at Northern Colorado Cowboy Church 33131 US 85
