Carol Ann (Huptick) Palmateer, 84, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2025. Born on April 14, 1941 in Gloversville, NY, Carol was the daughter of William and Anna (Antalek) Huptick.

After attending Gloversville High School, she married Richard "Dick" Palmateer on October 29, 1961. She went on to work for the family-owned Seaboard Shellfish Co., in Gloversville, and then operated a clam business with her husband. Later, she worked for nearly two decades at Dunkin Donuts, where she quickly memorized every regular customer’s name and order.

When not working, Carol could be found cheering on her children and grandchildren in athletics, from baseball to soccer to volleyball to gymnastics. At home, she enjoyed tending to her garden, playing cards with family and friends, and watching the latest show on the Food Network. Carol always looked forward to yearly family trips to Cape Cod, and her favorite stop, Seafood Sam’s. She enjoyed most spending time with family and looking after her grandkids.

Carol is survived by her two children Lori (John) Stewart and Gregory Palmateer, four grandchildren Cameron Stewart, Tanner Stewart (fiancé Kelly Topal), Casey (Derek) Harris, and Dustin Palmateer, one great grandchild Carson Harris, and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Palmateer, her parents, William and Anna Huptick, her siblings, Susan (William) Towne and William Huptick Jr., and one granddaughter, Allison Palmateer.

In keeping with Carol’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral services at this time.
