Carol L Jensen (79), beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on February 18, 2025, in Greeley, Colorado.

Born October 18, 1945, in upstate New York, to Floyd W. Jensen and Claire I. Green (Mannix), Carol grew up with a passion for art, traveling, and helping others. In 1964 Carol joined the Sisters of Saint Joseph, receiving her habit in 1965 and taking on the name Claire Aquinas, serving God and her community until 1969. Carol attended the College of Saint Rose, where she graduated with her master's. After college, Carol spent many years working for the Schenectady City School District as an art teacher, retiring in 1998.

After retiring from the school district, you could find Carol working on various art projects, vacationing in Maine, and spending time with friends and family. In 2022 she moved to Colorado to be closer to family. Carol's time in Colorado was short, but she made friends and made many lasting impressions on residents and staff in her community.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Jensen (Patrick Carr), and granddaughter Aliza. She was preceded by her parents and sister, Susan Jensen.

A celebration of life ceremony will be held at a later date. The family asks that donations be made to BrightSpring Hospice Foundation in Carol's honor.

Carol's presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
