Carol Jean Ford, aged 81, passed away on November 19, 2024, in Greeley, Colorado. She was born on October 26, 1943 in Mandan, North Dakota, to Olaf and Frieda (Treiber) Larson.  She dedicated her professional life to educating young minds as a school teacher  specializing in home economics, and later as a librarian in Greeley-Evans School District 6.

Carol graduated from North Dakota State University, where she built on her creative talents and passion for education. She was known for her caring, thoughtful, and loving personality, which made her beloved both in and out of the classroom. She taught at several schools throughout her career including Eaton High School, East Memorial Elementary and Chappelow K-8 Arts Magnet School in Greeley.

Carol married Loren Ford on August 4,1967 and together they raised two sons. For over 40 years, she was right beside Loren as they built a successful hair salon business until his retirement.  Carol enjoyed homemaking, cooking, and decorating for the holidays.  She was known to be a bit of a card shark, consistently winning games against her family.  Carol was active in Scouting and was involved in everything her sons were a part of.  She enjoyed spending time with her numerous friends while camping, bowling, getting away to Las Vegas, or savoring a cajun boil.  Never far from her North Dakota roots, she loved family outings at the cabin on the family farm.  Always the brilliant host, Carol's main passion was making people happy.  Her family and friends meant everything to her.

She is survived by her husband, Loren, and their two sons, Scott (Denise) and Steve, sister, Donna McMinn, and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt and uncle.

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and two brother-in-laws, Terry Ford and Clark McMinn.

Carol's life will be celebrated on December 4th, 2024, from 2 pm to 4 pm at Adamson Life Celebration Home, Greeley, Colorado.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Carol's memory to the charity of choice.
