Carmen N Aponte

I regretfully announce the passing of Carmen Nereyda Aponte of Copperas Cove, TX, on July 12, 2023. Carmen was surrounded by her family and passed away peacefully. My mother, Carmen, was one of the strongest/most courageous women ever to walk this earth, and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. Carmen graduated from James Monroe High School in the Bronx, NY. After graduating, she went on to marry and have two children. Carmen was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family. She gave her life to the Lord and shared his love with anyone she came across. She worked hard and was always available for others when needed. She had a direct line to God and made things happen through her prayers. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her. Carmen was predeceased by her daughter, Patricia Lofton. She is survived by her daughter Beatrice Aponte-Lloyd, her grandsons Joshua Drye and Isaac Aponte, her granddaughter Jessica Pendleton and great-grandchildren Ruby and Samuel Pendleton. Services will not be held per her request. A tree will be planted at her home church, First Assembly of God of Copperas Cove, alongside her daughter Patricia on earth, as they are in heaven.
