Carline Michell Kidd McLean was born March 24, 1946, to the late Mr.Mitchell Lee Kidd and Mrs. Rachel Brown Kidd in Washington, DC. She departed this life on May 3, 2025.

Carline attended schools in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, where she graduated. She also attended Campbell University in Pembroke, North Carolina, earning an Associate's degree in Business.

Carline worked a variety of federal government jobs, retiring from the Office of Military Personnel Center assisting active duty soldiers with base assignment logistics. She held several levels of clearance with the federal government. Carline also worked in North Carolina at Fayetteville State University-Office of the Chancellor, and Research Triangle Institute International.

Carline was a member of East Friendship Baptist Church, in Washington, DC and attended quite a few churches while residing in North Carolina.

Carline was an avid competitive bowler and loved to read mystery and horror novels. Steven King and James Patterson were a couple of her favorite writers. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and listening to good soul and gospel music from the 60s and 70s.

Carline was preceded in death by her Father, Mitchell Lee Kidd; Mother, Rachel Brown Kidd; Granddaughter, Mallika Lolade Khadisha Pratt; Aunt, Pearl Eady; Uncles, Willie and Frank Brown; and Nephew, Frederick Allan Wright.

Carline leaves to cherish her memories: Daughters, Rachel Pratt Corbett (Larry), Sharon Denise McLauchlin, and Carolyn Legolia Patricia McLean (Herman); Grandchildren, Antoine Montpeirous (Bryanna), Ronald Lewis, Anthony Johnson, Jr., Tiara Lewis and Jerome Marcellas McLean; Great-Grandchildren, CoreyMontpeirous, Holly Montpeirous, Aubrey Montpeirous, and Tailani Johnson; Sister, Julia B. Wright; Niece, Judith Edmonds (Chris); Special Children, Grand- and Great-grandchildren, Allison Whitehead Henry and Jade, MaLeene TaBon, Heather Corbett Whitaker, Itara Whitaker, Amelia Whitaker, Brittney Corbett Martin (Rodney), Daysha Herring, Shannon Corbett, Nay Nay Martin, Marcus McNeill; and a host of great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
