Cameron James Hughes, 25, passed away unexpectedly on June 17, 2025. He was born on December 7, 1999, in Cambridge, NY, to Ginger (Hughes) York and Jeffrey Brock.

Cameron grew up between Hoosick Falls and St. Johnsville. He graduated from PTECH in Johnstown and went on to become a Nurse’s Aide. He worked for several employers over the years, but one thing they all had in common was Cameron’s compassion for caring for the elderly.

Cam was passionate about books and reading. He was also very handy with technology and computers. More than anything he loved spending time with his many friends and family.

He was predeceased by his grandmother Shelia Sanders, stepmother Crystal Brock, and Uncle Andy Hughes.

Cameron is survived by his mother Ginger (Spencer) York; father Jeff Brock; siblings Ira (Destany) York, Spencer Caswell, Alyssa Caswell, Chance Caswell, Kevin Brock, Ryan Brock, and Gabrielle Hoffman; one niece; aunts Angel Hughes and Virginia Stovall; Uncle Malcom Hughes; as well as many beloved friends.

Cam’s arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Betz, Rossi, Belinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Ave, Amsterdam, NY 12010. There will be no services at this time.
