Brenda Spurlock Smith - A memorial service for Brenda S. Smith, 67, of Lexington, will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 4, 2016 at Round Hill Baptist Church, 230 Persimmon Lane, Lexington, SC, 29072. Pastor Don Turner will officiate. The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM Monday at the church, prior to the service. Mrs. Smith passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015. Born in Saluda, Brenda was a daughter of the late Lone Marion and Dorothy McCullough Spurlock. She had retired from BellSouth as a telephone operator. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers, and the AT&T Luncheon Group. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Carroll Smith; son, Brandon M. Smith of Lexington; sister, Sylvia Spurlock Griggs (Richard) of Leesville; brother, Jerry Lynn Spurlock (Jenny) of Batesburg; many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and a great-great nephew. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Round Hill Baptist Church.
